Emily points out, ‘There are so few places where you can have both a great glass of wine and a great cocktail; it’s notable when you can.’ The article mentions Donna’s, Botanica, or L&E… I tried to think of a few more. Most are also restaurants + and close at 10pm.

Capri Club: Frito Misto + a Caper Berry Martini — my new favorite happy hour combo. Summer perfection.
Mango-wrapped yuzu california roll from Whole Foods — this slapped, but i haven’t seen it there since.
Gerald’s at Woon — LOVE a woon pop-up. Vibes are always high. DK Kolender + Travis Passerotti came through with a seafood menu, oysters, crudo… the crab louie was 10/10.
Chloe Cooks Sammies at LA Home Farm: First of many sammie drop offs for my bestie, Chloe! Last week she made Bocadillo de Tortilla — tortilla espanola inside Bub’s baguette with a smoked paprika and sherry vinegar aioli, cornichon and some charred, grilled vegetables. LA Home Farm sold out in the first 30 minutes 2 days in a row. Watch this space. More to come!
The Bear Afterparty — Probably one of the more LA things I’ve done. Huge congrats to the entire Bear team + cast, what an amazing celebration. Said hi to the boys at Stir Crazy, slurp’d noods from Yang Bang and ate a piece of cake walking down Hollywood Blvd. Wish I could watch the rest of the season in a theater… Season 3 is on hulu :)
Hot Goz Summer
Backyard pizza parties are not slowing down — I went to 2 last Saurday. First, Angelus took over Ean’s yard for a housewarming. They made a pizza for every place he’s lived. Silverlake, Venice, Bushwick + Westlake. My fave was Venice: roasted corn, goat gouda, serranos + husk oil. 🌽🍕 Probably the best wine selection I’ve seen at a house party too…
Then I headed to La Festa — where I had a slice of Ricotta Bear’s Market Greens (hold the pancetta) with cream, asparagus, shaved garlic, mozz, parm, black pepper, lemon zest. Drinks by Cheeky’s — after party at Prado ofc.
