Issue 65 — Best LA Bites of 2024

I love a good reminisce... scrolling through my favorites folder, reminding myself of all the amazing meals and memorable nights I had. Ordering martinis on the rocks during the heatwave, shucking oysters poolside, making everyone try the Tuna Frites at Queen St. (including my mom). In the winter, I leaned into warm comforts like congee and hot toddies at home. I spent time in the desert, went to New York and Portugal, and visited family for good chunks of time in both in San Diego and the Bay.
As I reflected on 2023’s Best Bites, I was surprised I didn’t revisit some of last year’s favorites: Dudley, Damian, Bar Chelou... Kismet?! I won’t let that happen again.
For my 2024 list, some felt too obvious to include, like Found Oyster, and Courage Bagels… But anyway, here’s my roundup:
