Welcome back to the big apple. This is the second part of my New York series where I comb through 10 restaurants I went in April — mostly good, a couple disappointments. In the first issue, I wrote about Rule of Thirds, a modern Japanese restaurant in Brooklyn.

This week, I’m talking about Gem Wine a ‘choose your own adventure’ wine bar on the Lower East Side, and Superiority Burger, a vegetarian diner in East Village — where the fry menu changes depending on the day of the week.
